Breakout Sessions:

Are you eating and drinking your grief?

Facilitated by Leslie Shull, Founder Let's All Flourish and Village Wellness & Yoga

During this opportunity for growth and self-love, you will recognize and explore your current eating and drinking patterns. You will examine those patterns and when ready acknowledge areas for acceptance. Finally, you will compare your choices in a decision making exercise designed to motivate and facilitate change. Along the way, we will discuss healthy swaps and alternatives. Bring a journal and a pen. And oh yeah, your sense of humor because, well, why not, right?

Leslie comes to us as a board certified health coach with over 10 years experience facilitating diverse groups and 300 hours of 1:1 behavior change coaching. Leslie is also a RYT500 with 14 years of yoga practice and nearly 500 hours of trauma-informed yoga teaching. Joyfully married for 30 years and a proud Momma to 3 amazing humans, Leslie has experienced the loss of parents, friends and family members. As a young teen, Leslie found Adult Children of Alcoholics, physical exercise, and later therapy as a way to facilitate bouncing back from poor choices, depression, and self-doubt. After watching both of her parents pass away from causes that may well have been prevented with alternative life choices, she is a fervent supporter of following Hippocrates advice, “If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health.”

Cherishing Memories with Hope-filled Dreams

Kathy Skinner, BS, MA, Certified Grief Coach

“Grief is love, and love is grief…we find meaning in cherishing both.” A. Wolfelt, PhD.

If you are wanting to cherish, celebrate and honor love, during this season of grief, join me as you navigate these memories and feelings. By doing so, I hope they enrich your heart by offering comfort and meaning. Dreams are often one way the work of mourning takes place. For many of us, they can feel like a trek through the wilderness.

In this workshop, we will accessorize a pillowcase with healing messages. As we symbolically lay our head down, we are reminded of our cherished memories and hope-filled affirmations.

Kathy Skinner has been a Community Pastor/Ministry Overseer working in the church and community for over 25 years.

Chaplain and Bereavement Coach for over 10 years.

Recreation Therapist: over 16 years’ experience working in mental health and drug rehabilitation.

Compassion Holds with Nicole Carter, LCSW

This will be an exploration of stress responses, self-soothing and encouragement to attend to our own well-being. As service providers we must be aware of how our nervous systems are always acting in service to our survival. As service providers working in systems that historically fail to SEE, HEAR and CARE about the well-being of practitioners and staff, taking time and having a safe space to soothe our nerves and share our experiences is critical to our capacity to come out of survival and into well-being. Befriending your Nervous System can grow your capacity to attend to your needs, your desires and stay in alignment with your highest good.

Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in Social Services and Mental Health. She has worked in City and County Protective Service Agencies, Hospitals, Crisis Mental Health facilities and The Department of Veterans Administration. In her private practice, NIcole works with clients to address stress management, life transitions and trauma recovery. Through workshops and therapy, Nicole provides education on the nervous system, brain, body and heart connection in order to support clients build personal resilience and improve their mental health and emotional wellness.
