This is the embodied experience of nervous system regulation you will learn and practice so you can experience peace, rest and Life to the Full. What you will learn, experience, practice and explore: LEARN about the survival states and the relaxation state ( I call it the Freedom or Enlivened State) of your nervous system.
EXPERIENCE YOUR nervous system through the language of sensation. So you can track the flow from calm to anxious and from overwhelmed to focused.
LEARN why you can’t talk, self-will, think and I even dare say “ Pray yourself Calm” WHEN your nervous system is in one of the survival states of Fight and Flight or Freeze.
HEAR and experience the GOOD NEWS (actually it’s Great news!)
“You can learn to shift your nervous out of survival states and into the Relaxation State.” From Survival States we can’t will, think, or pray ourselves calm. We need to FEEL our way to calm. I will teach you how to do this!
CALM BODY ➡️ CALM MIND
LEARN how to use your body to calm your mind, as you shift the state of your nervous system that has been dysregulated by months, years or decades of chronic and/or traumatic stress.
PRACTICE Easy and Gentle Vagus Nerve Stimulation techniques to shift your system out of survival states and into the parasympathetic Rest, Digest and Recover state.
EXPERIENCE yoga and meditation as therapy, as we practice the trauma recovery elements of somatic yoga
EXPLORE yoga and meditation as expressive forms of worship and faith, as you encounter the healing power of God’s Word and Promises as an embodied experience.
