Join us for Together Through Grief, a morning dedicated to connection, compassion, and support for those who are grieving and those who walk beside them.
Grief can feel isolating, but no one should have to navigate it alone. This special gathering offers an opportunity to connect with others, find comfort in community, and discover resources to support the healing journey.
✨ What to Expect:
💗 Presentations by Together We Heal Community facilitators
🥐 Breakfast to enjoy as we gather together
🤍 Helpful resources for those navigating grief and supporting loved ones
🎁 Special gifts for attendees
🫶 Community and connection in a compassionate, welcoming space.
Our Together We Heal Community presenters will guide us through three meaningful experiences:
Understanding the pain of loss
Daniel Hernandez, thanatologist, mental health therapist and educator, will explore unexpected loss through self-love, resilience and compassionate care.
Understanding grief in the body
Stacey Ring, Clinical Nutritionist, will help us understand the physical side of loss through “Grief, the Gut & the Brain.”
Making room for reflection and connection
Jan Haag, retired writing professor at Sac City College, will guide us in “Writing as a Healing Art,” a welcoming space for reflection, creativity and connection.
You don’t need to be grieving yourself to find value in this morning. Learning how to walk beside someone who is hurting is a meaningful reason to come.
We’ll also remember and honor my dear Amy Sue Bowman by hearing her testimony in her own words. Her faith and hope in the face of death continue pointing hearts to Jesus, His promises and the Hope of Heaven. Whether you knew Amy or are hearing about her for the first time, you are welcome.
And your presence will help support others beyond this gathering. Your entire $25 ticket goes to Together We Heal Community, helping this wonderful nonprofit continue providing grief support and resources in our community.
