Strategies For Surviving Your First Holiday Season Without Your Loved One
Mourning the loss of a loved one often is a very challenging experience. Our lives are filled with sadness, anxiousness and yearning to have our loved ones back in our life.
As we travel in our healing journey we are presented with many triggers such as
birthdays, Mother and Father’s Day, wedding anniversaries and one year death anniversaries. Another significant trigger is the holiday season. The holiday season represents a time when family and friends gather. It is a time in which traditions are honored and celebrated.
It is also a stressful time for mourners who are experiencing their first holiday season without the loved one. Managing the holiday season can help lessen the stress of family get-togethers and maintaining traditions.
This workshop will explore strategies that will help mourners get through the holiday season in a meaningful and productive way.
