More about the Series:
In a world that often feels fast-paced and disconnected, creating intentional moments of togetherness is more important than ever—especially for youth and their parents. This workshop series is designed to strengthen the bonds between families through shared learning, creativity, and wellness practices. Each session invites participants to slow down, reconnect, and discover new pathways of compassion, communication, and mutual support.
Our Family Wellness Workshop Series brings youth and their parents together for hands-on experiences that nurture the body, mind, and spirit. Facilitated by Kari Mendoza, homeschool mother and TWHC Wellness Retreat Leader, each workshop highlights a unique dimension of well-being while offering opportunities for meaningful collaboration and joyful discovery.
~ Healthy Cooking & Nourishment
Families will step into the kitchen together to learn how to prepare simple, nutritious meals that nourish from the inside out. These sessions emphasize teamwork, foundational cooking skills, and the joy of creating shared meals that support long-term health and connection.
~ Creative Arts & Expression
Participants will explore new art techniques—from painting and mixed media to observational drawing and creative play. These workshops help youth and parents build confidence, express emotions, and experience the calming, connective power of creativity.
~ Whole-Person Wellness Education
Through engaging activities and discussions, families will learn practical tools for caring for their bodies, minds, and spirits. Topics may include mindfulness, movement, emotional regulation, sleep, boundaries, self-kindness, and everyday practices that cultivate resilience and inner balance.
Across the series, families will leave not only with new skills but with deeper understanding, shared memories, and a renewed sense of compassion for one another. This is a space to learn, laugh, grow, and strengthen the connections that matter most.
*Kids are encouraged to join!
Each session is $20/per family.
